The city of Rio de Janeiro has taken another step towards maintaining its status as a venue for major international concerts in 2025 and beyond. On the same day as Christina Aguilera’s performance—held on Thursday (6) at the Farmasi Arena in the city’s west zone—the municipality reached an agreement to secure four mega-concerts by international artists on the sands of Copacabana Beach. Columnist Lauro Jardim from “O Globo” newspaper reported that the city government and Santander have agreed for the bank to sponsor one concert per year for the next four years in the city.
