Thane: The Anti-Extortion Cell of the police have rescued 14 women from a hotel in Ulhasnagar where they were allegedly being forced into the flesh trade. One manager and two waiters were arrested in connection with the case.
Acting on reliable information, police officials raided the hotel located in Ulhasnagar , finding that the hotel management was reportedly using the women and girls for illicit business by accepting money from customers in exchange for their services, informed a police official from the Anti-Extortion Cell of crime branch.
The hotel manager and two waiters were arrested, and 23 clients were rounded up. Additionally, Rs 2.75 lakh in cash was seized from the premises, said the officer.
