Booking.com’s latest research sheds light on the challenges faced by neurodivergent travellers in India and identifies potential solutions to create a more inclusive travel environment. The research highlights the need for clearer communication, better support, and greater understanding from the travel industry to ensure a seamless experience for neurodivergent individuals.
As per Neurodiversity Celebration Week, an estimated 15-20 per cent of the global population has a neurological difference. While 79 per cent of neurodivergent travellers in India feel that existing support meets their needs, Booking.com’s findings indicate that 68 per cent still encounter difficulties during their travels, demonstrating a need for continued improvement in accessibility.
