An Aussie has called out Booking.com after claiming she was “screwed over” and left without accommodation while hours away from home. The booking agency is pinning the blame on the hotel, but the customer isn’t buying it.
Maddison Elliott and her mum had driven from Brisbane to Sydney to see Taylor Swift before starting their drive back on Tuesday, February 27. That night, “too tired” to continue driving, Maddison booked a $105 room in an Ibis Budget Hotel in Coffs Harbour, NSW through Booking.com.
“We were a four hour drive from home, too tired to continue and I have an injury that was prohibiting me from driving long distances in one go,” she told Yahoo News Australia.
