Booking.com has said it takes “safety and security very seriously” after a party at one of the properties listed on its site ended in a street brawl, with a 54-year-old man charged for allegedly having a crossbow.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed a “large-scale” fight broke out on Romney Street in Salford at about 21.30 BST on Monday after people spilled out of the property, where a party was being held.
Roy Leader, 54, of Salford was also charged with affray and racially aggravated public order offences.
In a statement, Booking.com, which connects travellers to hotels and holiday rentals, said it had blocked the customer’s account, adding: “We do not tolerate guest misconduct.”
