Ryanair has called on the Spanish Minister of Consumer Protection, Pablo Bustinduy, and the consumer organization FACUA to take action against the practices of the online travel agency eDreams. Ryanair accuses eDreams of harming consumers through excessively high prices for airline tickets and additional fees. Last year, it received thousands of complaints from customers who purchased Ryanair flights through eDreams at prices higher than the actual cost.
Ryanair emphasizes that eDreams is not authorized to sell its flights. Nevertheless, the online travel agency accesses content from the Ryanair website, inflates prices, and uses fake email addresses and false payment information to conceal the actual booking details. This often results in customers not having direct access to their Ryanair bookings or missing important flight information. Ryanair has published a collection of customer complaints to highlight the issue.
