Expedia Group is to deploy Amadeus’ New Distribution Capability technology and integrate its NDC content across Expedia’s online travel brands as part of an expanded strategic partnership with the travel technology company.
The integration will enable airlines to reach Expedia Group’s customers with “the latest merchandising techniques”, according to a statement from Amadeus.
Expedia and Amadeus have worked together for about 20 years, and the partnership renewal “marks a significant step forward in our collaboration”, according to Chris Hodges, Expedia Group’s VP of global connectivity and partner solutions.
“This move further emphasises our commitment to offering travellers the widest range of choices and personalised experiences, in line with the industry’s ongoing embrace of NDC technology,” added Hodges.
