However, when it comes to car rentals, Expedia’s lack of clarity on extra charges has received criticism from customers. While it received a solid customer score of 73%, Expedia only scored a mediocre three stars for its clarity on extra charges. Customers have complained that the final cost often turns out to be much higher than what was quoted, leading to disputes and additional charges. Despite this, most customers are happy with Expedia’s good range of cars and companies for car hire, as well as a quick and easy booking process. Although Expedia is a good option for car rentals, Which? Recommended Provider, Zest Car Rental, is considered a safer option due to their transparent pricing and customer service.
