According to Aisha Islam, senior vice president of Customer Solutions Center, South-east Asia, Mastercard Asia-Pacific, these groups are helping drive the sector’s growth, with a focus on digital connectivity, personalized experiences, and cashless transactions. The Muslim travel market is forecasted to reach 230 million arrivals and contribute US$225 billion by 2028. The estimates also suggest a strong influence of over 436 million global female travelers on travel planning. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) is creating new possibilities for these advancing market dynamics.
