Online travel agency, Travelstart, has launched its first Artificial Intelligence (AI) travel assistant, marking a first in Africa. The assistant is routinely trained for enhancing its responses, which are determined through pre-set data and algorithms. In line with its African expansion, the company has also opened a store at Murtala Muhammed Airport terminal 2 (MMA2) in Nigeria. Alex Olafare, Head of Marketing at Travelstart, claimed that the AI assistant will be able to communicate in Pidgin English, create unique itineraries, offer budget-focused recommendations, and provide global travel advice.
