TUI has announced its latest flight expansion from East Midlands Airport to a new holiday destination.
The airline confirmed it will be introducing a new route from the airport to the Cape Verdean Island of Boa Vista.
On Saturday April 26, the first plane will depart on a six-hour journey to the island as part of a wider investment of a 12,500 capacity increase to the lesser-known island, just off the west coast of Africa.

Holidaymakers will be able to depart from the airport to the island twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday) during summer and once a week on a Wednesday in the winter.
From a price of £783 per person UK tourists will be able enjoy a week-long holiday at a variety of TUI hotels.
