TUI flight from London Gatwick to Tenerife has declared an emergency.
TUI flight BY4590 departed London Gatwick Friday, December 27 2024 at 10:33 GMT to Tenerife.
While flying over the English Channel, the crew declared an emergency (squawk 7700) and started to descent.
The Boeing 737-800 (registration G-TUKF) started a holding pattern at 10,000 ft during 30 minutes to burn fuel before being vectored back to London LGW Airport.
The airline is confirming the flight is delayed.

The Boeing 737 was escorted by emergency vehicles and was parked on a remote stand of the airport.
