Tui is bolstering peak summer flying from regional airports by leasing in additional aircraft.
Three 189-seat Boeing 737-800s will supplement in-house Tui Airways capacity from Birmingham, East Midlands and Norwich airports.
Irish charter carrier Fly4 Airlines will be running the flights from today (Thursday).
The airline is due operate more than 2,200 flights from the three airports bases, flying to 25 holiday destinations across Europe.
It is the second summer that Fly4 has supplemented Tui’s flying schedule.
The carrier has spent six months preparing for the summer by recruiting additional pilots and implemented an extensive training programme.
“Close collaboration with TUI has been key to aligning on scheduling and capacity planning, allowing both teams to optimise the summer flying programme for reliability and resilience,” the company said.
