In recent years, ride-hailing services in Nigeria have improved accessibility and ensure safe and comfortable travel experiences for the public, marking the future of mobility in Nigeria. Uber Nigeria, after nine years of operation, partnered with leading online travel agency, Travelstart, to acknowledge the efforts of drivers and riders in Lagos who have prevailed through difficult economic challenges like rising fuel prices and foreign exchange shortages, and in turn, have contributed significantly to Uber’s growth. At an appreciation event, two riders were given return tickets to London and three drivers received local flight tickets to travel across Nigeria during the holiday season. A total of 30 individuals were honored at the event.
