To encourage more visitors to Hong Kong, the government unveiled its plans to revamp the ‘Symphony of Lights’ show at Victoria Harbour. Financial Secretary Paul Chan announced during the Budget Speech on February 28.
In addition, the city will also have monthly fireworks and drone shows in a bid to attract more tourists. The move comes after the return of Hong Kong’s annual fireworks shows during New Year and Chinese New Year which saw a huge turnout.
Hong Kong’s Symphony of Lights will get a new look
The Symphony of Lights is a daily light-and-sound show, where a myriad of searchlights, lasers, and LED screens illuminate Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong skyline. The 10-minute show has been part of Hong Kong since 2004. It got a revamp in 2017 with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra recording the new musical score. The daily attraction is one of the best free things to do in Hong Kong.
