Amid strengthening Greece-China relations, with Athens eyeing an influx of Chinese tourists and Beijing seeking deeper investment avenues in Greece, Air China has announced a significant expansion of its service on the Athens-Beijing route. Beginning in April, the airline will add two additional flights per week, coinciding with a surge in arrivals and the start of direct flights by various American carriers to Athens, running through October. The move aims to cater to the growing Chinese interest in Greek destinations, with Air China utilizing the larger Airbus A350-941 aircraft for the five weekly flights, a notable upgrade from the A330s previously in use.
