The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, opening for service, will significantly decrease travel time between various locations in China. The journey from Hong Kong to Zhongshan will be reduced from roughly three hours to under two hours, while the commute between Shenzhen and Zhongshan will now be 30 minutes instead of two hours. The 24-kilometer bridge features eight lanes and connects Shenzhen and Zhongshan via two bridges, two artificial islands, and an undersea tunnel.
