Hong Kong experiences 28.5% surge in Mainland visitors with new multiple visa scheme

8th December 2024 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong has reinstated the multiple visa scheme for Shenzhen, as confirmed by the newly appointed Secretary for Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Rosanna Law Shuk-pui. Speaking at a sports event today, she noted that on 7th December, the territory welcomed 145,000 mainland visitors, marking an increase of 28.5% compared to last month’s daily average. Law attributed this rise to the renewed visa arrangements, which present new opportunities for the tourism sector.
