Hong Kong recorded over 18 million visits in the first five months of 2024, up 77 percent compared to the same period last year, the Hong Kong Tourism Board announced on Monday.
The board also said in a statement that the city saw about 3.4 million visitor arrivals in March, or a 20 percent increase year-on-year.
Visitors from the mainland remained the largest source of visitors to the SAR, with up to 2.63 million visiting the city last month, up 15 percent from the same period last year.
As for non-mainland visitors, the figure increased 43 percent to some 770,000.
