Hong Kong tourists stumble across dinosaur egg fossils in China’s Heyuan

Two Hong Kong tourists stumbled across what appeared to be dinosaur egg fossils during a trip to Heyuan in Guangdong province, with Chinese authorities now analyzing the species.

The two were said to have discovered the fossils at Qiaobei Park, with the fossils later confirmed to be a clutch of six dinosaur eggs, measuring five to nine centimeters in length.

One of the tourists was said to be a guide working at the Hong Kong Geopark. He said the trip was planned to study the red sandstone formations on the outskirts of Heyuan City and they eventually came across the surprise.
