Hong Kong has relaxed visa restrictions for Shenzhen residents to boost cross-border travel and revitalise the tourism industry. Starting December 1, 2024, Shenzhen residents will be eligible for multiple-entry visas to Hong Kong, valid for one year. Each visit can last up to seven days. This marks a significant easing of the previous “one-trip-per-week” policy implemented in 2015.
In effect, Hong Kong’s “one-trip-one-week” Individual Visit Endorsement for Shenzhen residents from China will now be replaced with a Multiple-Entry Individual Visit Endorsement.
