Hong Kong’s mega-events in the first half of next year are expected to bring in 840,000 tourists, the government has said, as it released a list of more than 90 activities that will be held during the period.
Authorities on Tuesday revealed the 93 mega-events set to take place from January to June next year, a slight increase from the 87 initially announced for the first six months of 2024.
“At the beginning of this year, the government announced a series of measures to take proactive steps to promote collaboration and host various major events in Hong Kong,” said Michael Wong Wai-lun, the deputy financial secretary.
