At least 600 Hong Kong residents have registered to visit Zhongshan and tour the Pearl River Delta, following the announcement of a new road link set to open this weekend. The trips, organized by tour operator Eat Play Travel, have quickly sold out for Sunday and Monday. The new infrastructure project known as the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is expected to facilitate exploration of the western parts of Guangdong. The cost of these tours is HK$88 (US$11) per person, which includes bus fare and afternoon tea.
