Three more disparate cities in the mainland are being floated around when the individual visit scheme is extended to boost tourism.
These are Harbin, capital of northern Heilongjiang, province, Qingdao in eastern Shandong province, and Xi’an, capital of central Shaanxi province.
Speaking yesterday, Hong Kong Federation of Restaurants and Related Trades Ltd chair Simon Wong Ka-wo said during his meeting with Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office director Xia Baolong several days ago, a director for handling economic development told him that more cities will be covered, such as Harbin, after authorities review the operation.
Wong also said the spending ability of Qingdao and Xi’an is high.
