In an effort to promote tourism and business, China introduced a temporary visa-free policy for Malaysian citizens, effective from December 2023 until November 30, 2024.
However, the Malaysia China Welfare Advisory Society has urged the government for the permanent implementation of this policy between the two countries, VisaGuide.World reports.
The vice president of this organization, Teh Choon Jin, said that a visa-free policy would boost the tourism sector, among other things. He also noted that Malaysia experienced an increase in visitors following China’s temporary visa policy launched in December 2023.
Having a permanent visa-free policy will also significantly enhance bilateral relations and stimulate economic growth between our two countries.
