Kolkata Underwater Metro: Kolkata has added another infrastructural feature in its cap with the groundbreaking inauguration of India’s first underwater metro line in the city. The much-anticipated underwater metro, part of the Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation’s (KMRC) ambitious project, will set a precedent for innovative urban transit solutions.
After the inauguration, PM Modi took a ride in the metro along with school students. He was also accompanied by state BJP President Sukanta Majumder, and Bengal’s Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari. PM Modi also interacted with staff workers of the metro during his train ride in the underwater section.
