Bannerghatta Biological Park in Bengaluru has introduced India’s largest leopard safari. This 20-hectare safari, situated amid semi-deciduous forests and natural rocky outcrops, offers an ideal home for leopards. Safety measures in place include a railway barricade, a 4.5-meter high vertical chain-link mesh, and 1.5-meter metal sheets around the perimeter. Established at a cost of INR 4.5 crore, the facility complies with Central Zoo Authority’s safety guidelines to ensure a secure habitat for the leopards and an enjoyable safari experience for guests. The leopard safari was inaugurated by Environment Minister Eshwar Khandre.
