In a recent airline update, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has mandated airlines to ensure that the initial checked-in bag appears on the baggage carousel within 10 minutes of landing, with the final one arriving within 30 minutes. Yes, getting baggage after landing at the destination airport has always been chaotic and one of the prime issues for the travellers.

But now, BAPS has released an order for all the airlines to deliver the baggage within 30 minutes, to reduce the waiting period at the baggage claim area. Airlines have been granted a ten-day window, ending on February 26, to implement measures to follow these timelines. The countdown commences once the aircraft’s engine is shut down following its landing and docking at a parking bay.
