Patna: Asserting that Bihar is historically famous as the land of religion, knowledge and science, Union tourism minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Tuesday said the state has the potential to become the tourism capital of the country.
“Bihar, historically famous as the land of religion, knowledge and science, has full potential to lead the country in the tourism sector in coming days.
The Union budget has allocated funds for the development of religious and tourist places of Bihar, including Gaya, Bodh Gaya, Rajgir and Nalanda,” he said at the inauguration ceremony of two-day Travel and Tourism Fair 2024 at Gyan Bhawan here.
