In a significant sign of improving people-to-people ties, China has issued more than 85,000 visas to Indian nationals between January 1 and April 9 this year, according to the Chinese Embassy in India. The embassy described the move as part of its efforts to “actively facilitate” cross-border exchanges and warmly welcomed more Indian citizens to visit China.
The statement reflects a renewed commitment between the two nations to promote cultural, educational, business, and tourism exchanges, even as broader diplomatic relations remain complex.
