“Conditions in Pakistan not sports friendly, safe or secure”: Ex-Sports Minister backs India’s refusal to travel for Champions Trophy
Former Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anurag Thakur has backed the BCCI’s decision to refuse traveling to Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025. India, who last traveled to Pakistan in 2008, have continued to remain firm in their stance and have categorically refused to play CT 2025 in the neighbouring country. Thakur explained that the conditions in Pakistan were not “sports friendly, safe or secure”.
