Hahnair has successfully issued 50 million insolvency-safe tickets for its extensive network of over 350 partner airlines since 2010. As a pioneer in the industry, Hahnair introduced complimentary insolvency protection with every HR-169 ticket, setting a standard for secure travel bookings.
Securtix, the insolvency protection program, ensures reimbursement for passengers in case a service issued on an HR-169 document with any of Hahnair’s partner airlines is cancelled due to insolvency. Stranded passengers who have commenced their journey before the insolvency occurred receive a refund for the unused portion of the ticket, inclusive of taxes. They are also entitled to compensation covering expenses for a new ticket, with a total cap of EUR 125, as well as costs for meals and hotel accommodation (up to EUR 75) and other incidental expenses (up to EUR 50). Additionally, travel agents receive compensation for their extra efforts in assisting stranded passengers.
