Hyderabad: The state legislative assembly was adjourned for the day on Monday without a debate on the new tourism policy, amid protests by BRS MLAs against the Congress govt.
Speaker G Prasad Kumar initiated discussion on the Telangana state tourism policy when the House reconvened following a tea break, while members of the opposition parties continued to chant ‘anti-govt’ slogans.
Legislative affairs minister D Sridhar Babu criticised the BRS members for disregarding the House’s customs and regulations, saying the govt was prepared to address any concerns brought up by the opposition.
The speaker asked the BRS MLAs to hand over the booklets to the marshals and objected to their sloganeering and exhibiting placards inside the House….
