India has become increasingly popular as a travel destination for US citizens, jumping to second place for international tourist arrivals from January to May 2024, according to the US National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO). This is a significant increase from the country’s third-place ranking during the same period the previous year. The data shows a clear upward trend with Indian visitors to the US increasing by a whopping 32% in May 2024 compared to May 2023, equating to an impressive 263,150 arrivals. Taking into account the first five months of 2024, India has already sent 882,404 visitors to the US, marking a growth of 37.2%.
In the first half of 2024, India becomes the second largest tourist market for the USA, according to ET TravelWorld.
