Good news for all the travellers as India is planning to expand its high-speed train network. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project will be the beginning of a transformation in India’s rail network. Once after this project is complete, the country is planning to launch more bullet trains.
Apart from the Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor, the Ministry of Railways has asked the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) to prepare detailed project reports (DPR) for some more high-speed rail corridors.
The new corridors include:
- Delhi – Varanasi
- Delhi – Ahmedabad
- Delhi – Amritsar
- Mumbai – Nagpur
