Today’s pick is aircraft leasing activity at India’s IFSC GIFT City.
In July 2019, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her budget speech outlined that India is ready to enter into aircraft financing and leasing activities from its own shores. Five years since, about 26 aircraft leasing entities have registered at the International Financial Services Centre in GIFT City, Gujarat.
