Modi govt 3.0: Making Incredible India tourism a national priority

During the ‘Tourism in Mission Mode’ brainstorming initiative organised by the Union ministry of tourism in March 2023, the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism and Hospitality (FAITH) had suggested that the country’s tourism sector had the potential to be transformed by 2047 into a $3 trillion economy capable of generating 200 million jobs, with over 100 million foreign tourist arrivals and over 20 billion domestic tourists. Realising this ambitious vision requires making tourism a national priority with sustainable planning and policy support for all its segments.
