Starting June 16, 2024, Cambodia’s national carrier, Angkor Air, will commence the first-ever direct flight services with India, operating four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The flights will connect India’s New Delhi with Cambodia’s Phnom Penh.
Considering the demand for medical tourism in India and the ease of travel with direct flight connectivity, the tourist influx on both sides is expected to double year-on-year. Cambodia, in particular, sees India as a more cost-effective healthcare option compared to other neighbouring countries.
