A large part of the country has been dealing with a scorching heat wave for the past several days, severely impacting the health and livelihoods of residents. If reports are to go by, no relief is expected for the next five days in those affected regions, including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and northwest Madhya Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a red warning for these states, highlighting the need for ‘extreme care for vulnerable people.’ The intense heat is also impacting the lower hills of Himachal Pradesh, which are usually a refuge from the plains’ heat.
