Kolkata: Residents of the city and travellers can now travel directly to Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) in Andamans and Nicobar Islands as Air India Express on Sunday launched daily flights between the two cities. The launch is part of its network expansion in the region.
As per an official release of the airline, the inaugural Kolkata-Sri Vijaya Puram flight took off at 5.40 am, offering travellers a well-timed direct flight to the scenic Andaman Islands.
