For those who don’t know, there were three Ram idols that were competing to be placed in the Ram Mandir of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. The world witnessed the historic ceremony wherein the stunning black coloured Ram Lalla idol was placed in the Ram Mandir and pran pratishtha ceremony was done. The world simpl can’t stop talking about the beauty and the innocence the idol has on its face! But there was also a white marble idol that was beautifully carved but couldn’t make it to the main temple.

The 51-inch black granite idol that now graces the temple was sculpted by Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru. The idol is carved from a rock that was unearthed in an excavation. The rock dates back 2.5 billion years!
