Local seniors learned about the culture of India during a special event at Kirkland Lake’s Teck Pioneer Residence.

The facility has what they call the travel club, and it is a great way to provide the residents with an experience of another culture or new adventure without leaving their home.
This program is well attended as the residents get to celebrate various cultures and special days from around the world.
Not only does this program offer education for the residents, but it also gives a platform for them to reminisce and discuss their culture, birthplace, hometown pride and journey.
