A thick blanket of fog shrouded Delhi and surrounding areas on Saturday, January 11, as North India endured ongoing cold wave conditions. Visibility was reduced to nearly zero in parts of the national capital region, including Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Noida, causing major disruptions to travel.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for Delhi NCR, forecasting moderate to dense fog for the day.
According to IMD data, Delhi recorded a temperature of 10.6°C at 8:30 am on Saturday. The department also predicted cloudy skies, followed by possible rainfall and thunderstorms in the city.
