The Taiwanese government is considering extending visa-on-arrival for Indians, Taiwan Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Chung Kwang Tien said on Tuesday. Highlighting high frequency of travel by Indian nationals, Taiwan Deputy Foreign Minister, Tien Chung-kwang said, “…Indian citizens travel a lot…We are considering this (visa-on-arrival). We are going to talk with the Immigration Department. The Government can’t single-handedly (do it), we have to discuss internally. We have been proposed to have a visa-on-arrival. We are giving a very serious consideration.”
Reportedly, there are more than 3,000 Indian students currently studying in Taiwan.
If approved, this arrangement would streamline travel to the Southeast…
