Travel YouTuber Dale Philip’s fans were left baffled after he got his hands on beef biryani in India’s Old Delhi.
This is because cows are believed to be sacred in Hinduism, the religion followed by the majority of the Indian population.
However, Philip mentioned in his video’s description that as the area is home to majority of Muslim, there is beef available. However, he clarified that “due to local laws the beef is not from cows. Instead, buffalo meat is used and is named as ‘beef'”
When one thinks of India, typical dishes like daal chawal (lentil curry over rice) and pav bhaji (spicy curry of mixed vegetables served with soft buttered buns) spring to mind.
