The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) is looking for members for the 2024 Young Adults TripMate tasked with developing tourism content to garner attention of people in their 20’s and 30’s across the world.
The selected members will be responsible for promoting tourism contents across Seoul with ‘young adults’ sensibilities. The SMG receives applications for 12 days from Mon, Mar. 18 to Fri, Mar. 29, to select 50 members.
Once appointed, the 2024 Young Adults TripMate will engage in Seoul’s tourism promotion activities, such as experiencing and reporting the city’s major festivals and events, creating experiential tourism programs, introducing Seoul’s top attractions and restaurants, for eight months (Apr.-Nov.).
The SMG will incentivize 2024 Young Adults TripMate to discover and promote Seoul’s attractive tourism contents by providing them activity grants, training programs on social media content creation, and certificates and commendations for outstanding performance.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) is looking for members to join the 2024 Young Adult TripMate to help revitalize Seoul tourism by discovering hidden resources and developing and promoting sustainable tourism content.

▢ Application Period: From Mon, Mar. 18, 2024 to Fri, Mar. 29, 2024 at 6 PM
▢ Eligibility: People in their 20’s and 30’s proficient in social media activities (foreigners are eligible as well)
* (Age) 19 to 39 as of 2024 (born between Mar. 19, 1984 and Mar. 18, 2005)
▢ Number of vacancies: 50
▢ Activity Period: Apr.-Nov. 2024 (8 months)
▢ Key Activities
○ Promote Seoul’s top festivals events and the city’s experiential tourism resources
– Participate in and report Seoul’s main tourism contents including Seoul Festa 2024, Playable Seoul Project, Local Tourism Antenna Shop (trip platform), and the Welcome Week
○ Experience Seoul’s various cultural tourism offerings and create various-themed promotional contents
– Introduce the city’s history, culture (Gyeongbokgung Palace), art fairs (Kiaf Seoul, Frieze Seoul, and Welcome Daehakro), wellness tours (temple stay, etc.), and foods (100 Taste of Seoul)
○ Introduce Seoul’s hidden gem spots and restaurants
– Night view at Dalmaji Park, Hangdong Railroad, Seoul Botanic Park, MANG-U History & Culture Park, etc.
○ Upload photographs, videos, and other outputs from the TripMate activities on social media, either individually or with other members
– Carry out individual or team missions each month; activity grants will be paid out based on the results.
– Upload the contents on personal or joint social media accounts, and other media run by Seoul Tourism Organization or the relevant local governments
○ Attend 2024 Young Adults TripMate Regular Activity Sharing Meetings
– Share activity outputs; award ceremony for outstanding contents and members

▢ Preferred Skills
① Good understanding in social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
② Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design program skills
③ Video creation and editing skills
④ Experience in supporter groups or reporter groups

▢ Selection Criteria
① 1st round – document screening: Select 100 applicants (double the number of finalists) based on social media proficiency and related experiences
② 2nd round – interview: Interview the 100 applicants who passed the first round to assess their motivation and capacity, etc.

* The certification will only be given if the social media account specified in the application form matches the one used to upload content during TripMate activities.
