A South Korean tourist visiting the Philippines, named Asia’s leading beach destination, was fatally shot during a robbery in Angeles City, officials reported.
The attack occurred on Sunday afternoon when the tourist was shot while resisting an armed robber riding a motorcycle, according to Yonhap News Agency.
The victim was rushed to a hospital but was later declared dead.
South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called for a swift investigation by local police into the incident.
