The Ministry of Immigration and Population in Myanmar has announced that the issuance of tourist visas for international travelers has been temporarily suspended following the catastrophic earthquakes that struck the country on March 28th.
“Due to the recent earthquake, we regret to inform you that tourist visa applications will be temporarily suspended starting from 3 April 2025,” the Ministry of Immigration and Population of Myanmar said in a statement.
According to the Embassy of Malaysia, an additional announcement will be made once ‘services resume,’ while confirming that the suspension would not affect business visa applications.
