PHNOM PENH: Cambodia and Nepal have pledged to promote religious tourism potential between the two countries, said a news release from Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism on Wednesday (March 19).
The pledge was made between Cambodian Tourism Minister Huot Hak and visiting Nepalese Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Badri Pandey in Phnom Penh on Tuesday afternoon.
“The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation in tourism, particularly in promoting Buddhism tourism destinations and cultural heritage sites of Cambodia to Buddhist pilgrims and the people of Nepal,” the news release said.
