While UN Tourism has predicted ‘much better’ prospects globally for 2025 as compared to 2024, Nepal has recorded a marginal fall in the total number of international travellers in the initial three months this year. Only 298,558 foreign tourists came to the country during the first three months this year as compared to 304,693 in the same period last year. This figure marks a 2.1 per cent drop.
